Autumn Blessings

I've been itching to play with my new Gina K "Grateful Hearts" stamp kit.  And was also missing the story telling of our lives.  Kind of my own version of the Project Life stuff that's been sweeping the scrapbooking work.  It's been well over a month since I've written the family so I decided a letter was way overdue.  Love how this turned out and had so much fun doing it.

The Gina K kits are pretty nice.  It has a bunch of stamps in the kit, coordinating cardstock and patterned paper and some ribbon and brads.  And is packaged in a nice plastic box.  Pretty good deal I think.
Maybe you can see the kit details in this pic? . . .

See you at the shop tonight!

Better With Age

Playing around in the craft room today with some new Gina K stamps and paper I bought a few weeks ago.  This stamp is called Better With Age and the papers are from the Grateful Heart kit.  I used the current Fusion Card Challenge sketch.  Did some Copic coloring which was fun, although I'm realizing a need more wine colors.  Used one of the $1 stamps from Memory Lane to emboss on the purple card stock and then used the Sanded block stamp from Stampin' Up for the bottom panel.  Just thought it looked to plain with just cardstock.  Liked the way it turned out.  Hope you're having a good weekend.  Off to see the Griz Game now and will be going to the Shawn Mullins concert later tonight.  Fun day for sure.

April Snow?

Is it true Gal Pals?  Did you have snow yesterday?  Leave a comment on the blog to let me know.

If so, I thought posting this card might be appropriate.  It's one of the Gina K. Design stamps I ordered this winter.  I just loved how sweet and simple the snowman was and also loved the sentiment that came with it.  I ordered the winter 6x6 paper pack so it all coordinated.  I like the patterns and colors on the Gina K. Design papers but they have a little bit of a gloss on them that I still can't decide if I really like or not.

One other little design note . . .  since I have to be so careful to avoid any kind of bulk on the cards I send to the family, I used my Sissix button die to create the cute little button.  I edged it in white to match the base of the card.  Kind of liked how it turned out.
